Claire Shores is a native New Mexican. She graduated from the University of New Mexico with her BS in Nutrition in 2009, and completed her doctorate in physical therapy at UNM's School of Medicine in 2014. She is fully certified in the Schroth method for scoliosis treatment. She has worked as a physical therapist in multiple outpatient, inpatient, and home health settings. Claire also specializes in women's health and pelvic floor rehabilitation and is CAPP certified through the American Physical Therapy Association to better help care for women with pelvic floor dysfunction. She is an advocate for pelvic health and fitness before and after pregnancy to help with common postpartum issues such as incontinece, dyspurnia (pain with sex), diastis recti, as well as other back and pelvic pain.
Claire and her husband Jon have a 6 year old son, Ethan, and their family dog, who they love to go on adventures with. Their family enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and mountain biking and spending as much time in the mountains as they can. Claire is grateful that she can bring her skills to serving women in New Mexico, and she looks forward to helping patients find therapeutic solutions for a happier healthier life.
