This strength & balance class is designed for seniors, with focus on exercises to improve muscle strength, balance, and flexibility, using modified movements and equipment to accommodate individual fitness levels and needs. These classes are beneficial for older adults, helping them maintain independence and improve their overall quality of life.
In order to participate fully in this class, participants should be able to:
- Stand and bear weight (putting all your weight on one leg) for single leg stance with use of bar for any hand support that is needed for balance exercises.
- Be able to get down to floor and lay on your back or sit on a stool for exercises.
*Some individuals have a preference to work barefoot, please bring grippy socks*
