Strength training for scoliosis is a full body workout using suspension trainers and your own body weight. This class offers the opportunity to build muscular strength and cardio respiratory endurance, with the ability to modify to your specific needs.
Our class is taught by a Schroth certified physical therapist, so consideration to individual spinal curve patterns and modifications are incorporated into each exercise.
Participants will utilize TRX equipment for suspension strap strength training. Postural corrections for scoliosis are cued and integrated into every exercise. Exercises are completed in various standing and floor based positions, for full body workout. Upper extremities are heavily utilized to participate in class. This is high level strength training class that requires ability to balance with minimal support from equipment.
